Meet Vala.

Originally from Ukraine, Vala has made her home in the UK for over three years. With a degree in education, she spent her working life teaching and caring for young children. That same patience, warmth and attention to the little things are at the heart of Shiny House.

Full of energy and ready for a new chapter, Vala now brings her personal care to your home. This is our small family business: Vala does the cleaning, and her son-in-law Artur takes care of every enquiry and arrangement.

All calls, emails, WhatsApp messages and booking conversations come to Artur. He handles the communication and platform, so Vala can concentrate on looking after your home. We plan to care for a maximum of five regular households, with the highest personal standards and long-term relationships at the heart of the service.

Family life is also at the heart of Love Scottish , another of our family projects.

Introductory offer details

One first visit per new regular household within our agreed service area. Minimum 3 cleaning hours. The introductory cleaning-time rate is £20/hour; further regular visits are £25/hour. Products and equipment are provided by you or agreed beforehand. Travel supplements, if needed, are quoted clearly before booking. Deep cleans, appliance interiors and specialist work are discussed and quoted separately. Visits remain subject to availability and an agreed cleaning plan.

How much does a regular clean cost?

Your first agreed regular visit is £20 per cleaning hour, with a minimum of 3 hours. Further regular visits are £25 per hour. Artur confirms the time, scope and any travel supplement in your full quote before you agree. Deep or specialist work is quoted separately.

Will the same person clean my home?

Yes — Vala personally provides the clean. Her son-in-law Artur handles all calls, emails, WhatsApp messages and arrangements. We aim for lasting relationships with no more than five regular households.

Can you use my own cleaning products?

Absolutely. We’re happy to use your preferred supplies or recommend a simple shopping list to help avoid unnecessary spending. We’ll first check that the products are suitable for the surfaces and agree what equipment is available.

Do I need to be at home?

We’ll agree access arrangements with you before a visit. Please don’t send keys, alarm codes or other security details through the website helper.

Can I arrange a one-off or specialist clean?

Our focus is regular home cleaning for a small number of local households. Ask Artur about your needs before assuming a one-off visit, specialist treatment or appliance interior is included.

Do you clean homes with pets?

Tell us about your pets, their routines and any product sensitivities before the first visit. We’ll discuss a practical plan that suits your home.
